IB Art Exhibition Reflection by James
The moment under the spotlight, covered in acrylic, is not just any mere memory at the back of my brain – but hammered into my frontal lobe: this was the beginning of something new.
When I was assigned to do this with my companions Kevin and Joanna, by our ever so awe-inspiring Art teacher (you know who you are), I saw it not only as an opportunity to develop team collaboration but also a chance for us to enjoy what we do best. Working with a group of potential artists really helped me bring to light the possibilities of Art and how it can shape the mind and even the world.
I see it as our stepping stone to something much larger out there.
“Originally we planned to paint the nebula and that is why our colours were rather luminous and galaxy-like. However, right at the last second before we got our paint brushes, we said to each other, forget the plan, we will do whatever comes to mind, let the music take over our souls and unleash all emotions – and that was what we done. Ultimately, we found ourselves standing in front of somewhat of a magnum opus that showed our splendid past and bright future shone under the light of SUIS.”
